From the past few days, there were plenty of rumours about the new Redmi device. Finally, the company has officially launched Redmi Note 9 in India. It is going to be the predecessor of the Redmi Note 8. In terms of availability, it comes in Aqua Green, Arctic White, and Pebble Grey colours. The smartphone will go on sale starting from  July 24 at 12 pm on Mi.com, Amazon, and Mi Home stores.

Redmi Note 9 Specifications

The phone powers a MediaTek Helio G85 Chipset coupled with the Octa-core processor and Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. In-camera, there’s a quad-rear camera setup that consists of 48 MP primary + 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens + 2 MP macro + 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, it hosts a 13 MP single selfie camera with an aperture of  f/2.3.

With a 6.53-inch display (1080 x 2340 pixels), the smartphone measures 162.3 x 77.2 x 8.9 mm and weighs around 199 grams. The smartphone also hosts a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display and features 450 nits of brightness. The device is available in two variants – 4GB RAM with 4GB internal storage, 6GB RAM with 8GB variant.

Redmi Note 9 still runs MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box and packs with 5000 mAh battery. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, A-GPS,  Type-C. Additionally, there’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
