The Razer Phone 2 was launched long back in 2018, it’s exceptional that the company is providing the security updates for the device even after two years of its launch. Starting from today, Razer Phone 2 starts getting the latest Android security patch for the month of July 2020. The device has bumped directly from March 2020 Security Patch by skipping the April and May security patch to June 2020 security patch update.
Coming to the update, it comes in P-SMR4-RC001-RZR-200616.3181 build number and it weighs around 80.56 MB in size. In terms of availability, the update is rolling out only in the United States. The company has not provided any release note of the update. So, it usually comes with the bug fixes and the latest security patch.
As the update is rolling out in batches, it may take some time to reach out to each and every unit. In case if the update is available to your smartphone, then you will be notified automatically. However, you can check it manually by navigating to software updates from settings. As of now, the OTA download file of this update is not available. However, we will be posting it shortly after its official release.

The Phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and Adreno 630 GPU. It comes with 8GB of RAM coupled with 64 GB internal storage. There’s also a dual rear camera and 8 MP selfie camera.
