Samsung sends Android 11 based One UI 3.1 update to Galaxy A20e

Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A20e a couple of years back as a lite variant of the Galaxy A20. The smartphone received an Android 10 update along with One UI 2.0 skin on top. Following the latter device, the Galaxy A20e is also receiving the One UI 3.1 update that is based on Android 11.

The fresh build arrives on the firmware version A202FXXU3CUE9, which is currently rolling out in the Netherlands and Belgium. Along with the new features, the update also drives the May 2021 security patch. To know what the patch brings to your Samsung device, tap here.

Concerning changes, Samsung is sending all the Android 11 goodies tossed with One UI 3.1 traits to the Galaxy A20e units. Android 11 brings several features like chat bubbles, smart device control panels, native screen recorder, and much more. Furthermore, the build also adds the One UI 3.1 skin that includes improvements for Toolbars, Settings, Quick Panel, Notifications, and a lot more.

Also, it is to be noted that Galaxy A20e was launched in 2019 with Android 9 Pie and this is the second major OS update for the device. Therefore, after this update, the phone will only receive the regular security patch levels and it won’t bag any OS update in the future.

The OTA update is having a phase-wise rollout. Accordingly, it may take some time to hit all Verizon Galaxy A20e units. But, as always, you can manually check for the build via Settings -> Software update.
