Samsung with its continuous efforts over the years and innovative technologies has led the manufacturer to get into the list of best smartphones of the year. Initially, the One UI 3.1 update was bound to Galaxy S21 series but today the Korean giant announced that it would release the UI 3.1 update to previous flagship smartphones too.
Later the company claimed that “All devices will start getting an update” after which it released One UI 3.1 update to Galaxy S20 series than followed by Galaxy Note 20 series. Now, sticking to their words, Samsung is seeding out the update to the foldable smartphones— Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
The brand new OneUI 3.1 brings updated features to smartphones such as Private Share, object eraser tool, improved Single Take mode in the camera, and the ability to remove location data from images while sharing them. The Galaxy Z Flip model is receiving the update in Austria with brings the firmware version F700FXXU4DUB4. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G is receiving OneUI 3.1 update in the UK which brings the firmware version F707BXXU2DUB4. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is getting the updated firmware version F916BXXU1DUB5 in Germany.
Galaxy Z Flip Specifications
The Galaxy Z Flip was released last year flaunting a 6.7 inch screen with Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The phone runs Android 10 which is upgradable to Android 11. It is coupled with Qualcomm SM8150 Snapdragon 855+ (7 nm) chipset. If we talk about the camera, it carries dual rear 12 MP wide + 12 MP ultrawide sensors along with a single 10 MP front camera.
Galaxy Z Flip 5G was launched last year on July 22. It carries the same display and Android version as Galaxy Z Flip however the chipset varies to Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865+ (7 nm) and it houses similar camera quality.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 Specifications
Galaxy Z Fold 2 was disclosed a month later Flip 5G indulging 7.6-inch screen size with Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It also runs on Android 10 which is upgradable to Android 11 with the same chipset as Flip 5G. The device features a triple rear camera consisting of 12 MP wide + 12 MP telephoto + 12 MP ultrawide sensors and a single 10 MP selfie lens.
